Frankfurt Fashion Lounge: what this day changed
Updated: Oct 14
I woke up at 4am. The train to Frankfurt left at 5:30. It was still dark outside.
That was August 13th. The day the Frankfurt Fashion Lounge competition became real for me.
The competition: an opportunity that is not taken for granted
In June, the news arrived: ASEL RAKHAT was selected as the winner of the Frankfurt Fashion Lounge competition 2026.
Beatrice von Winterfeldt (@beawinterfeldt), Katja Noschis Delaloye (@coutureconsultancy), and Inez Paolini (@inez_paolini) had searched together with the Frankfurt Fashion Lounge for jewelry and accessories designers with a clear creative perspective. I am still grateful that ASEL RAKHAT was chosen.
For small, independent brands, competitions like this are rare and valuable. They give access to what is almost impossible without a budget or team: a professional production that shows the work the way it was meant to be seen. That is not a small thing. It changes the direction.
The team and the day
In Frankfurt, a professional team was waiting: Beatrice von Winterfeldt (@beawinterfeldt) as photographer, Katja Noschis Delaloye (@coutureconsultancy) for art direction, Inez Paolini (@inez_paolini) for makeup and hair. And Siska (@siskaw.h) — the model who had traveled from Munich.
Siska wore the pieces as though they had been made for her. Maybe they were.
That day, I saw for the first time what my pieces look like when they are truly seen. The 212 Bracelet. The Everyday Ring. The ALMATY Bracelet. In the right light, with a team that knows how to show objects.
I arrived back in Berlin just after midnight, exhausted. But with images I will not forget.
The results
The images will be shared here and on Instagram over the coming weeks.
Thank you to the entire @frankfurtfashionlounge team: Beatrice (@beawinterfeldt), Katja (@coutureconsultancy), Inez (@inez_paolini), and Siska (@siskaw.h). For this competition and for the trust in the work.
