The complete guide for rings, bracelets, and chains – so your next piece fits from the very first moment.
Introduction: When Buying Jewelry Online Becomes a Matter of Trust
There's a moment in a store – when you slide a ring onto your finger and instantly know: that's the one. Online, that moment is missing. You see the piece, you feel it belongs to you – but the size remains an unknown.
At ASEL RAKHAT Berlin, every piece is handcrafted and limited. No ring exists twice in the same way. That's why we take the question of the right size seriously – and why we wrote this guide, so you can order with confidence.
Here you'll find everything you need: measuring instructions, size charts for rings, bracelets, and chains, and tips from our experience as a Berlin jewelry manufactory.
Finding Your Ring Size – at Home
In Germany and across the EU, ring size is given as the inner diameter in millimeters. EU size 53 means an inner circumference of 53 mm and an inner diameter of approximately 16.9 mm.
Method 1 – Paper strip or thread:Cut a narrow strip of paper (approx. 0.5 cm wide). Wrap it snugly around the finger you want to wear the ring on. Mark where the ends overlap. Measure the length in millimeters – that's your finger circumference. Divide by 3.14: the result is your inner diameter and your EU ring size.
Method 2 – Measure an existing ring:Place a ring that fits well on a ruler. Measure the distance from inner edge to inner edge in millimeters – that's the inner diameter and corresponds directly to your EU ring size.
Ring Size Chart
Circumference (mm) | Inner diameter (mm) | EU Ring Size |
47 | 15,0 | 47 |
49 | 15,6 | 49 |
51 | 16,2 | 51 |
53 | 16,9 | 53 |
55 | 17,5 | 55 |
57 | 18,1 | 57 |
59 | 18,8 | 59 |
61 | 19,4 | 61 |
63 | 20,1 | 63 |
Tips:
Measure in the evening – fingers tend to be slightly slimmer in the morning.
For wide rings (6 mm and above), go half a size up.
Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.
Measure each finger separately – index, middle, and ring finger often differ.
Finding Your Bracelet Size – Fit With Intention
ASEL RAKHAT bracelets are designed to sit in a specific position on the wrist. Too loose and they lose their effect. Too tight and they lose their ease.
How to measure your wrist circumference:Place a flexible measuring tape directly below the wrist bone (at the narrowest point). Alternatively, wrap a thread around your wrist, mark where it meets, and measure the length with a ruler.
Bracelet Size Chart
Wrist circumference | Recommended bracelet length | Fit |
bis 14 cm | S | close to the wrist |
14 – 16.5 cm | M | slightly loose |
16.5 – 19 cm | L | slightly loose |
Tip: For bracelets with a clasp, allow a little extra room – the piece should be able to move as you wear it.
Choosing Your Chain Length – Effect Begins With Position
No decision changes the appearance of a chain more than its length. The same chain looks classic at 45 cm and sculptural at 70 cm. Choose deliberately.
How to find your ideal chain length:Take a measuring tape or thread and hold it around your neck where you want the chain to fall. Look in the mirror – when does it sit exactly right? Measure that length.
Chain Lengths and Their Effect
Chain length | Placement & Style |
31-38 cm | Choker – close to the throat, very present |
45-55 cm | Classic – collarbone height, works with any neckline |
60 cm+ | Statement – stomach height, for deep necklines |
Recommendations:
V-neck: 45–55 cm
Layering: at least 10 cm between each chain
